The Physiological Society is one of the oldest, well-respected scientific networks. Founded in 1876, when a group of 19 physiologists came together and shared a vision that established the vibrant network that honours “the science of life” that continues to this day.
Recently I was delighted to be asked to feature as one of 150 voices of physiology on a portal that celebrates 150 years of discovery. My career pathway was never a “typical” one so it was great to be given a chance to write about, and reflect upon it.
